We had a very productive and enjoyable workshop day at the University of New England on 24 March 2017 as part of the celebrations for the 10th anniversary of the European Research Council. It was great to bring the team together to share our work, ideas and
questions. The day was led by Dr Liz Hale and a highlight was a chance to talk with overall project leader, Professor Katarzyna Marciniak, who streamed in from Warsaw.
The day kicked off with interesting presentations from Liz on the project and its scope and A/Prof Marguerite Johnson (University of Newcastle, Australia) on what classical reception means, particularly in an Australian and New Zealand context. This led into workshops where work was shared amid much animated discussion, collaboration, inspiration, and collegiality. It was the first time the team has come together and everyone had a chance to meet in person, so provided a valuable chance to provide and receive feedback, as well as get to know each other.
